Rhodias is a criminal. One day, an inexplicable urge prompts him to leave his gang behind and take to the distant mountains.

While wandering the alien hinterlands, he comes across a handsome traveler who invites him to the Temple of Renewal, where he claims Rhodias is bound to obtain many answers to his questions.
